St. John United Way
- DuPont Pontchartrain Jump Starts 09 Campaign

DuPont_Pontchartrain_Generator_Check.jpgDuPont Pontchartrain Site employees recently donated proceeds from an employee generator sale to the St. John United Way. A total contribution of $10,175.00 was given to the United Way by DuPont Chemical Solution Enterprises and DuPont Performance Elastomers employees. The revenue became available following a drawing from a site pool of slightly used generators. These portable, household generators were the remainder of Pontchartrain's efforts to support employees and their families in the aftermath of Hurricane Gustav. Generators were returned to the site after electric power was restored in this area. Some generators were then forwarded to DuPont's Texas facilities to provide support for needy families in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. The remaining generators at Pontchartrain were then made available to interested employees through a raffle-type drawing with proceeds donated to support the local community
